Barely weeks after his affair with Imogen Thomas was revealed, Ryan Giggs is facing another bombshell with his sister-in-law accusing him of having an eight-year affair with her.

The News of the World had reported that he had been cheating on his wife Stacey with 28-year-old sister-in-law Natasha before she began dating his younger brother Rhodri Giggs. It said Giggs slept with Natasha the day after his eight-year-old daughter was born, and again the day after the arrival of his four-year-old son. The affair was alleged to have continued until April 9.

“When I found out he was cheating with Imogen too, I was really hurt,” she told the News of the World through a ‘friend’.

“I know that sounds really strange, but he wasn’t just cheating on Stacey, he was cheating on me too. Our relationship was just about sex to him.”

Rhodri Giggs dumped his wife last night after learning the soccer star had bedded her for eight years. Rhodri combines his duties as player-manager of non-league Salford City with a day job delivering lorryloads of paper.

FIFA ended a tumultous week with Sepp Blatter retaining his power at the head for the next four years, albeit with their reputation dragged through the mud and confirming what we already knew before – that hidden behind the echelons lie a more devious web of money & power that flows throughout the organization.

Mohammed bin Hammam, who was contesting Sepp Blatter in the presidential race, ended up pulling out, but not before determining to “clear his name” by outlining the decree to charge him with attempted bribery. This was after Chuck Obi-Wan Kenobi had accused him of trying to bribe certain members of the FIFA family.

Jack Warner then started what he claimed would have been a “football tsunami” after he had been similarly been accused, then throwing out an email from Jerome Valcke:

Dear Jack, lots of questions

Firstly I got also a very, very good feedback about the draw, its organization and the media coverage. It is great the FWC Final Draw is not the only one getting such attention but now all including the U-17. Football is really big.

For FICO, I perfectly understand your position about England. There is not a major point it is true to be discussed. I think MBH will try to attack us on various points but am prepared to answer. Nothing very new since Robben Island 2009 Exco!

For MBH, I never understood why he was running. If really he thought he had a chance or just being an extreme way to express much he does not like anymore JSB. Or he thought you can buy FIFA as they bought the WC.

I have a bet since day one, he will withdraw but on June 1st after his 10 min speech. By doing so he can say he push Blatter to make new commitments bla bla bla and get out under applause. Before means he is a loser. So … He will get some votes. Less than 60 today after CAF support. It will be the “coup de grace” if you would officially send a message as the CONCACAF President by saying CONCACAF supports unanimously.

So am not giving you advice but just feeing about what I think is the situation.

Finally just coming back to wives. You know Jack ruled are for the majority. Why? Because without a minority will always abuse! Some and a few members are given a special authorization to bring their partner at their coast and it is fine but we have a number of issues and that is why this regulation was decided a very long time ago before I was appointed for sure.

Talking about the before I was told and it is confirmed, Linsi went with MBH to visit a few MA’s. Was maybe the ex-future SG. Also one agency, Sportfive, has being very supportive and organized for MBH meeting with MA’s they have under contract.

Wow, just wake up, being in San Francisco for a few hours before flying at 1pm to Sao Paulo for the day. And am writing so much ).

Enjoy your day
Jerome.

With PLENTY of evidence as such …

Blatter continued with his act of defiance: “a unity in solidarity for the next 4 years — we shall solve the problems if there are any in the Congress. Crisis, what is a crisis? Football is not in a crisis. We are not in a crisis, only in some difficulties.” And so, despite a late push by the English FA, Blatter was re-elected with only 17 nations voting against, with 186 nations opting to ensure Blatter remained in power. He rounded up his unexpected election win by saying, “Something marvellous has happened today.”

Maradona summed everything up in a dino-shell:

“Everything will be the same… FIFA is a big museum and they are dinosaurs who do not want to give up power. I’m not surprised Blatter was re-elected because they look after themselves. They will stay until they are 105 years old, I hope they will resign but don’t be under any illusions that they will. I have been asked to be part of the FIFA family but I said it is not a family if no-one plays football.”

“Many people agree with me that many things are not clear in football these days and it is not something people who watch football deserve. The situation will be the same while football is run by people who do not understand football.”

Rooney decided to clarify after he was seen leaving the Queen Anne Street Medical Centre on Thursday. Pictures of him leaving the clinic wearing a grey hooded tracksuit and baseball cap were published by The Sun newspaper.

His wife, Coleen, also got in on the act and tweeted: “Hiya!! Yes waynes had his hair done! His own decision not me asking him, like alot are saying!! Pleased for him and it will look great.”

Rooney’s teammate Rio Ferdinand joked on Twitter: “Just don’t go down the wearing a alice band route!! You’ll be doing head&shoulders adverts soon! Hope its gone ok Good luck lad.”

Well, all I can say to Rooney is kudos for being game enough for him to try it and be open about it! Yum Nam Hair Care should have offered him free treatment and got him as their spokesperson. Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg had earlier this season attracted attention after becoming the face of a chain of hair loss treatment centres.

Wayne Mark Rooney was born on 24 October 1985 and is an English footballer who plays for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.

As Blackpool suffered the ignominy of relegation after defeat to Manchester United on Sunday, they will be sorely missed not only for their attacking football, but also their manager Ian Holloway as he gave us much entertainment fodder not last seen in the Premier League since José Mourinho.

Here are some of his memorable quotes, which would be in relative be on par with Eric Cantona’s infamous quotes.

He carries the weight of the blame on his shoulders entirely:

“Apparently it’s my fault that the Titanic sank.”

and then how much we are still stuck in the ice age:

“Why haven’t they got cameras? The officials can speak to each other easily enough now. Why aren’t we using laptops that are linked up and can give a decision in five seconds? A chimpanzee could do it – with not much training. We might as well go back to being cavemen, grab our girl by the hair, drag her into the cave whether she wants to come in or not because we may as well live in that age. We’ve come forward, haven’t we? “

and then on the prospect on having to call David Beckham Sir:

“Sir David Beckham? You’re having a laugh. He’s just a good footballer with a famous bird. Can you imagine if Posh was called Lady Beckham? We’d never hear the end of it!”

and not forgetting Cristiano Ronaldo:

“He’s six foot something, fit as a flea, good looking – he’s got to have something wrong with him. Hopefully he’s hung like a hamster – That would make us all feel better. Having said that, me missus has got a pet hamster at home, and his cock’s massive.”

and in tribute to Michael Jackson:

“He was a very special bloke and one of a handful of people I am proud to have been on the planet at the same time as. The Beatles, Elvis, Muhammad Ali… they are the great figures of our age. David Beckham will be one day too. They are icons… In fact, when we go to Fulham I’ll take a little hacksaw, smuggle the statue on the team bus and take it home with me.”

and him following in the footsteps of Potato:

“Every dog has its day, and today is woof day! Today I just want to bark!”

and how much he loves Donkeys:

“You are talking out of your hat. I would like to say out of your ass, but that’s a donkey and I don’t like having a go at donkeys.”

and as Blackpool were relegated he decided it was because the fat lady had stopped singing:

“The fat lady has finished singing and unfortunately I don’t like her tune. That’s it in football. You’re famous for two seconds in football and then you’re gone.”

and summing everything up fittingly:

“Football is a very small part of the universe, and Blackpool is tiny in comparison, but we are trying to make ourselves as good as we can be and are being run as sensibly as we can be run … We are all trying our best. I’ve never met a manager or a player who deliberately goes out to lose or doesn’t try his best. They might be on a lot of money, a ridiculously obscene amount of money, but they are still trying. It’s a funny old world and I just wish everyone health and happiness, but I am not going to lose mine over a game.”

Of course not to be left out, someone left a piece of Holloway-isque humour in his Wikipedia entry:

About Ian Holloway
Ian Scott Holloway was born on 12 March 1963. Ian Holloway is the current manager of Blackpool, and was a former footballer from 1981 to 1999. His career span has seen him play as a midfielder for Bristol Rovers, Wimbledon, Brentford, Torquay United, and Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League. His former managerial portfolio includes QPR, Plymouth Argyle and Leicester City.

Ryan Giggs has nowhere to hide, now that his name has been brought up in Parliament as the footballer who applied for a super injunction against newspapers publishing his name as the footballer having an affair with Imogen Thomas.

Lib Dem MP John Hemming named Ryan Giggs as the player during an urgent Commons question on privacy orders. He had made use of parliamentary privilege which protects MPs and peers from prosecution for statements made in the House of Commons or House of Lords.

Scotland’s Sunday Herald had published Giggs’ name on the front page of it’s paper Sunday, claiming it was not restricted by the laws in England.

Giggs had last week applied for a High Court order to identify the users who had outed him, however that triggered a backlash as thousands of Twitter users started tweeting him out, and he suffered from the Streisand effect as all the publicity meant even more users were dying to know the real identity.

So there you have it, the mystery of the footballer who had applied for a super injunction is over.

Giggs should just about do some damage limitation by admitting it all, and start attempting to rebuild the clean image he has built up over the years.

About Imogen Thomas
Imogen Mary Thomas (born 29 November 1982) is a Welsh glamour model and television personality. She rose to fame in 2006, when she appeared, and lasted three months, in the seventh series of reality TV series Big Brother. She was crowned Miss Wales in 2003, and represented them in China.

About Ryan Giggs
Ryan Joseph Giggs OBE (born Ryan Joseph Wilson; 29 November 1973) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays for Manchester United. He is one of the most decorated players in English football with 11 Premier League titles, four FA Cup winner’s medals, three League Cup winner’s medals and two Champions League winner’s medals. He is also Manchester United’s all-time leader in appearances.

Thousands of Twitter users have reacted to Ryan Giggs’ bid to find out who is putting information about him on the website by posting the following tweet that it is not trending as one of the top tweets:
“Ryan Giggs is suing twitter. I can’t Imogen why”

This came as a user recently set up a Twitter account unmasking Ryan Giggs as the one having an affair with Imogen Thomas

Obviously Giggs is being milked for more money by his lawyers who are advising him to take more action but it has to be clear to him that this is only generating more interest around the World (cue the Streisand effect), and the best he can wish for now is just for the super injunction to stay, though with the Internet nearly everyone can now find out who he has been shagging on the way to another title.

It remains to be seen if such a court order will hold fort since it was issued in England, and Twitter is primarily based in the US.

About the Streisand effect
The Streisand effect is a primarily online phenomenon in which an attempt to hide or remove a piece of information has the unintended consequence of publicizing the information more widely. It is named after American entertainer Barbra Streisand, whose 2003 attempt to suppress photographs of her residence inadvertently generated further publicity. (wikipedia)

In a shocking revelation that will stun football fans around the World, Ryan Giggs has been unmasked as the footballer who had a seven month affair with Imogen Thomas.

Speculation was rife that Imogen Thomas had a seven month affair with a married Premier League footballer but English newspapers had been banned from reporting on who it was due to an injunction. A Twitter account was setup recently and promised to out all the recent injunctions.

Ryan Giggs has been renowned for being a family man and a player who regularly shuns the limelight, allowing him to play for Manchester United for the past 20 years.
Much has been made about how yoga has managed to prolong Ryan Giggs’ career, but now we know what he has been optimizing it for.

Thomas had previously dated footballer Jermain Defoe, but they split in November 2009 after four months together. The former Miss Wales has previously been linked to a string of footballers, including Real Madrid’s £80million man Cristiano Ronaldo, Swansea City’s Matthew Collins and former Manchester United star Dwight Yorke.

This should have been another week of footy quotes, but then I think there are sufficient quotes about a particular player to make one drool.

Lionel Messi is simply in the form of his life, destroying teams week after week, well make that every few days. Just days after tearing Stuttgart to shreds and putting the ball pass the peeing lemon, he ensured the Spanish press had ran out of superlatives they had to invite their readers to send in their own adjectives.

Watch what he did against Zaragoza over the weekend and you will be encoring bloody hell!

“I’m not sure he’s human,” said the Zaragoza playmaker Ander Herrera after the demolition.

“Tonight, I saw Diego Maradona,” declared the Real Zaragoza coach José Aurelio Gay, “but at more Revs Per Minute. There are no words left to describe him – he is interplanetary. We could have beaten Barcelona but we could never have beaten Leo Messi. If we had scored four, he would have scored 12.”

Interplanetary? Is that even a word or simply something lost in translation? Nonetheless, just take a look at this goal he scored 4 years ago when he was just 18. Which just about makes him 22 now. Astounding.

After yesterday's win over Chelsea, you would expect Inter manager José Mourinho aka His Mourinhity aka The Special One to provide more words of wisdom. True enough, His Mourinhity showed why he is not far behind Eric Cantona, with more quotes to match.

Germany coach Joachim Löw is having a headache after seeing some of his goalkeepers making mistakes over recent weeks. René Adler of Bayer Leverkusen had a high profile ‘schoolboy error’ – with Tim Wiese and Manuel Neuer waiting in the wings.

However, never discount our peeing lemon – Jens Lehmann, still at a mature 40.

“Somebody like me would be perfect for the World Cup.”

“In the beginning, Roman, perhaps, thought it was easy to win. He now knows it’s not.”

After yesterday’s win over Chelsea, you would expect Inter manager José Mourinho aka His Mourinhity aka The Special One to provide more words of wisdom. True enough, His Mourinhity showed why he is not far behind Eric Cantona, with more quotes to match.

“Yesterday someone asked me if I would still be special if I lost here,” he said. “But today I’m not so special for Chelsea supporters who will probably never forgive me. It was difficult coming to my home as an enemy, but that is what happened. I exchanged SMS messages with John Terry yesterday [and] told him one of us would be sad today. That’s life.”

“Roman is a very intelligent person and because of that he’s not the same person that he was when he arrived in football. Probably he thought it would be easy when he first arrived in football. It’s not easy. It’s difficult. Teams win on small details which make the difference. He knows it’s not easy now. He knows now how to read a game, understand a game, analyse the game and knows his team lost against a side who deserved to win. He’s a man of class, so he will accept this defeat because he knows Inter were the best team.”

“This [Chelsea] is a team that lost a semi-final with a goal that was not a goal [in 2005], lost a semi-final on penalties [2007], lost a final on penalties [2008], lost a semi-final in a game that they should have won 3-0 with three penalties that were not given [last year],” said Mourinho. “This is the story of this club and the story of these players. This is their history – one of frustration.”

“They had the ambition to go through and they were frustrated because, immediately, they felt that Inter were the best team. I’m not saying Inter are better than them. I’m saying that, today, Inter were much better than Chelsea, from the first minute to the last minute, and that brought frustration to their players, great professionals and great people. My people will always be my people. But today I was the enemy. And the enemy won. That’s life.“

Evidently, despite being an Inter manager, Mourinho is clear about where his heart belongs.

“I’m very happy because I won. I’m not very happy because they lost. I’m very happy because my players are happy, my supporters are happy, my president is happy, and because I worked so much for this game. As a professional, that’s the best feeling you can have. I’m not happy because my ex-players or Roman lost, or that Chelsea supporters go home sad. I’m not happy about their unhappiness. But that’s life.“

Robbie Savage is probably loathed by the majority of fans & players alike for his pesky closing down and antics, but he has shown that for all his bad points, he is after all an honest lad at heart.

Being a pundit on Match Of The Day 2 (in England), he was discussing about Paul Scholes, who had just scored the match winner against Wolves.

Savage reminded viewers that he “was lucky enough to play with him in the Manchester United youth team, but there the similarities end unfortunately.”

Why oh, why then did he not make it?

“He’s an unassuming character who’s won a lot of trophies,” explained Robbie. “While I talk a lot of nonsense and haven’t won a thing.”

He should be invited onto the Football Channel this instant and replace Carlton Palmer. Oh wait, they won’t be around next season, thank God!

— 10 March Update —
Robbie Savage played goalkeeper after Derby’s two goalkeepers were either injured or sent off.

Savage donned the gloves to face a penalty that was sent over the bar and insisted: “I’d have saved the penalty because I was diving the same way. You can call me Robbie Southall – I’m just a natural sportsman.”

Derby boss Nigel Clough said: “Robbie wasn’t getting a kick in midfield so it was best he went in goal.

“He had a sore foot so he got a breather in goal before we play Doncaster on Saturday. We will have a new loan keeper by then.”
