Of the shows I watch, veteran reality shows like Amazing Race & Survivor refuse to die after a decade, Smallville will fly with a decade celebration, Lost decided they had everyone lost enough they would stop.

New debutants, Flash Forward didn’t accomplish enough despite a full season run, Glee has been musically inclined to continue dancing, and Community will continue providing communal laughs.

Many of the series I stick to are still hanging in limbo though, with OTH, Heroes all stuck in the gutter. I’m amazed NBC are even deliberating on Chuck though – where else do you find a nerd you can identify with that pulls in the hot chicks as a part-time spy? Or, and now he can sing with an American Idol too! I hope they don’t else the Nerd Herd might have to do something ala the nuts from Jericho (though that failed to save it)

Fox’s musical drama Glee was to air in Japan on February 7, and to entice fans to watch the series, Fox Japan created this wonderful & hilarious musical teaser that features, yes, breakout a cappella song “Don’t Stop Believing”, but the best bit – sumo wrestlers! And they certainly plumped for one with weight – retired sumo superstar Akebono Taro.

Akebono Tarō (曙太郎, Akebono Tarō, born May 8, 1969 as Chad Haakeo Rowan) is a retired sumo wrestler from Waimānalo, Hawaiʻi. Joining the professional sport in Japan in 1988, he was trained by pioneering Hawaiian sumo wrestler Takamiyama and rose swiftly up the rankings, reaching the top division in 1990. After two consecutive yusho or tournament championships in November 1992 and January 1993 he made history by becoming the first foreign born wrestler ever to reach yokozuna, the highest rank in sumo.

Glee is an American musical comedy-drama television series that airs on Fox in the United States. It focuses on a high school show choir (also known as a glee club), called “New Directions!”, set within the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio. Sports Illustrated will use its Ustream channel, Facebook Page and ExtraMustard site to bring the models to fans via live webcasts as the models attend events in New York and Las Vegas. Fans hoping to see bikini-clad models strutting their stuff would be disappointed, but there will undoubtedly no lack of eye candy.

Oprah, who is the richest women in entertainment with US$1.5 billion to her name, will no doubt have something up her sleeves, she pockets an estimated US$225 million annually and has already established her own network, called Own: The Oprah Winfrey Network. Of course, with everyone knowing for an undeniable fact all the stars appearing in the videos and pictures, this is just an even greater admission of guilt to avoid more headlines on his already tarnished name.
