I’ve been eating Lana cakes since before I started donning my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles clothes, and call it nostalgia or what would you, but they are still the best around. The closest anyone has to their cakes would probably be Awfully Chocolate, but there is still the pivotal element, or x-factor that makes their chocolate fudge immaculate. I would really pay Violet Kwan to give me that elusive ingredient.

If you do not finish the cake the very day that you bought it, it can get dry very easily. Here is how, as taught by Violet Kwan herself on how to maintain the moisture of the cake:

  • Cut the cake with the portion that you plan to finish that very day, and the other portion accordingly.
  • Wrap the other portion that you want to devour, but can’t for fear of diabetes.
  • Refrigerate it of course (duh)
  • Eat as and when you succumb to temptation and you would find it still seems like the very same day you bought it!

I've had Lana Cake since when I was old enough to remember my birthday. But wait, I'm confused. So Violet Kwan does Lana Cake. Then who is this Lana?

Hmm I have no idea leh. The only Lana I know is Lana Lang from Superman. Maybe it's her daughter? But she's no longer in the shop to ask her. I need to call her for her recipe too.

Hello. Anybody knows how many cakes Lana produces a day?
