I got my Google Wave invite a couple of days ago courtesy of DR, and so far it hasn’t drawn my attention enough to want to explore it further. I probably need to add to the pathetic five on my Wave list before I can fully exploit the features of it, so I have 7 invites to share. Invites take a couple of days because according to Google they have a multitude of stamps to lick.
When it does come, its a bit like how Gmail started all those years ago, with invites to signup.

About Google Wave
Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation
and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

Everyone has taken the chance to exploit the demand for Google Wave, with a website, freegooglewaveinvites.com offering a marketplace to buy/sell/trade your Google Wave invites. Going rate seems to be like US$2 per invite.
