I’ve loved Teppanyaki since I was a kid, or rather since I first visited Shima . I’m seriously craving it as I write this very word.
Tajimaya happened to be more of a try-your-luck sort of restaurant, I’m always clueless as to what to eat whenever I’m at VivoCity, seems like a multitude of options, but non-appealing. Shabuya is the sister restaurant next door that offers shabu shabu (otherwise what is known as boring steamboat), well no need for me to elaborate when given a choice between the two.
Generally, you are allowed to select between the various sets: Wagyu, Black Angus and Australian premium beef, and each set came with Kurobuta Pork Loin and Belly, Tempura and other unknown vegetables. Variation of sauces between shio (soy), tare (lemon) and miso. Service was passable, but the best bit of the meal was the marinate that brought out the flavour of the meats.
There are of course, no reviews of the massive bowl of salad and all the other repertoire of vegetables available. (Why?) For that, you would have to concur with Mr. J.
